I hate to tell you this, Johnny, but honey and bees don’t stick together. If they did, bees everywhere would die horrible, sticky deaths of asphyxiation.

Even without human intervention (or that of other non-bee species, such as bears), bees don’t stick to honey. They make it, they store it and they eat it, all with a efficient lack of sentimentality. Which makes the actual relationship of bees and honey pretty much the opposite of this song, unless it’s really about a cannibal serial killer and his prisoner…
