“Death Is Not the End” by Bob Dylan

When the cities are on fire
When the burning flesh of men
Just remember that death is not the end

Wait, that’s your idea of reassurance and comfort? Seriously? I mean, it’s clear that the thought that “Death Is Not the End” is supposed to be a pleasant one, but in the context of this verse, it sounds more like “even after you die, you’ll still be able to feel your flesh burning.”

This is not a pleasant thought to anyone not currently whacked out on PCP, Mr Dylan.
